If you hold a Commercial Helicopter Certificate you can build
R22 time with us for $100 per hour while a photo company pays the rest. You fly along with our Certified Commercial
Helicopter pilot and you fly a photo mission. The photo company gets the images and you
get to log the time as Pilot In Command (PIC). This is a great way to build inexpensive
and real time rather than boring holes in the local sky at a solo rate to
meet SFAR73 (200 hours) or insurance requirements (frequently 300 hours). There is absolutely no instruction with
this program. No autos. We fly mostly
in South Florida where the average temperature is 80
Degrees. You pay only $100 per hour.
You will generally fly on weekends logging up to 8 hours each day taking
pictures with one of our Commercial Helicopter Pilots or Certified Flight
Instructors and it’s a blast! You can probably build 50 hours in a week
with some planning over holiday weeks. You are PIC.
You take off and land and fly the helicopter in between (sharing the controls
at times, depending upon which side of the subject the sun is on) and you log
all the time. Great fun, phenomenal experience and cheap way to build quality
time. We can help you with lodging for as low as $100 per week across from an
airport in West Palm Beach so you
won’t need a car or phone. You can build time at $100 per hour on
weekends (figure about 16 hours per weekend) or if you are pinched for time
you can fly at $150 per hour on weekdays during non-holiday weeks, too. The
photo company flies on warm and calm weekends. For the winter when it is cold everywhere
but Florida, you should plan on
flying into Ft. Lauderdale (FLL), Ft Myers (RSW), Jacksonville (JAX),
Miami (MIA) or West Palm Beach (PBI)
